The Moon Daddy Band - Tribute to Santana

Moon Daddy Band consists of six members, all seasoned musicians who like to have fun and Love playing Santana music.

Consisting of a world-class rhythm section of Ricardo Guity Blanco from Honduras (congas and percussion), Ricky Flores from Puerto Rico (timbales and percussion), Randy Hiatt from Seattle  (drums), Bob Stark from Seattle  (bass), David Chavez from East Los Angeles (keyboards and lead vocals) and Steven Schlecht from Seattle (guitar).

“I worked at Fillmore West in San Francisco in the late ’70s. I loved that town. Music was emerging faster than you can keep track of. And Santana, then it was the Santana Blues Band, played 5 or 6 nights a week in the bay area.”

“And nobody does a better tribute to Santana than Moon Daddy Band! And I’m really excited about that!” Lloyd Peterson,  July 21, 2018, Mt. Baker Rhythm & Blues Festival

“There was something special and different about your band that I can’t seem to put into words. I think it was your true passion and enjoyment in what you do, that created an infectious musical invigorating aura!”

Sarah Planalp of Snohomish County, WA. Arts Commission – 2016

“Sizzling with fun and energy,” says Christine

“Fabulous,” Says Diane L.

Skablins - Finest ska band in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest

Skablins is the finest ska band in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. Our seven-member troupe fuses the fast and fun music of ska with the playful and mischievous goblins of folklore to create our one-of-a-kind sound and shape. We are about music that makes people move. We are about having fun, both on stage and off.

Formed in 2006 by Gordy, Anton, and Heather, Skablins has played all over Seattle, Portland, and, of course, Arlington. (We are the house band of the Mirkwood Public House in Arlington, Wash., after all.) With seven band members (three horns, two strings, drums, and vocals), we fuse ska and goblins to make a wilder kind of creature. We are Skablins—playing mischievously in all shapes and sounds.
